The cost of words
Wittingly or otherwise, Geraldine Ferraro has become a defacto agent for the Clinton “kitchen sink, smear and scare campaign”. Blind loyalty can sometimes lead people to become so entangled in intrigue they don’t realise when they are being manipulated. There are none so blind as those who cannot see. No surprises here. Many believe Clinton and a few other establishment Democrats actually agree with this lady? When put on the spot, they suddenly remember their electorates at home and then distance themselves publicly. Imitations of Hillary.
This is a classic case of where some people’s words mean nothing. And they all seem to be supporters of the Clintons. The whole world understood exactly what Senator Clinton meant when she tried to impress us at the expense of Obama, with the words, ” its actions that count”. If Hillary Clinton believes that, why didn’t she do something immediately to reprimand and dismiss her friend and accomplice Ferraro? How could she, the webs we weave. The fact is she did nothing substantial at all. As a result every racist in America will be thrilled and most people of Afro – American descent will never trust her again.
The unacceptable risk
Question. Is this an example of how Hillary Clinton as a potential President of the United States would deal with such blatant racism when in Office? Judging by her past record she would simply dismiss it with a bland denial. She really doesn’t get it. Still, as she said and we remember, actions speak louder than words. I’ve got news for Hillary Clinton’s supporters. With Clinton as President this multiracial world would never see the United States in a favourable light again. The cost would be incalculable.
A damning indictment – msnbc special comment 10 mins
This terrible business is all part of a strategy to deny white and other ethnic votes to Obama. It’s desperate stuff and it won’t work. Obama was never going to get ignorant bigots to vote for him anyway, even though his wonderful mother was a white person.
A clear and present danger
Barack Obama is extremely intelligent. He is calling out to people who want and demand change, to vote for him. He owns that mantra even though Clinton now uses the concept to explain her very different approach. The finest form of flattery they say. Obama understands that any vote which is simply anti – Republican, while very important, will in itself not give him the strong mandate he really needs to start healing and rebuilding America. He doesn’t want people to vote for him just because he’s black. Nor does he want people to not vote for him, simply because he’s black.
All along he has maintained he wants people to vote for the best candidate. The person most likely to pursue sound policies and the one who is capable of bringing about real change. Obama’s real battle is not the challenge of defeating McCain. The real enemy is within. I have a feeling he knows it. The American people also need to know it before they vote in Pennsylvania and beyond.
A vote is the most powerful weapon in the world. Now is the time for Americans who have never voted to wield that power on behalf of their country and their future. Against all the odds the people of Pakistan have just shown what is possible.
The status quo
A quote from Machiavelli’s famous book on Statecraft, ‘ The Prince’. circa 1513. “And one should bear in mind that there is nothing more difficult to execute, nor more dubious of success, nor more dangerous to administer than to introduce a new order to things; for he who introduces it, has all those who profit from the old order – as his enemies.

Bravo!
The double standard is just unbelievable. At least Ferrarro resigned at last, but not without taking everyone down with her and leaving a not-so-vague threatening stance.
She’s like Hillary’s evil twin!
I wonder how you will update this entry after the recent revelations about the church Sen. Obama chose to attend for 20 years? I am sure this will all be a part of a white conspiracy in your mind but the opposite is true.
This primary battle has proven beyond a doubt that America is ready, willing and able to vote for a black person to the highest office in the land. They are not willing to elect a black person who follows the reverse discrimination mindset pervasive in much of the black community.
Sen. Obama has been exposed as anti-white and not particularly pruod of his country. He is entitled to his beliefs and Rev. Wright is protected and entitled to preach whatever he wishes but this is simply not palatable for the leader of this country. His campaign is over and now the dems are screwed because he has the nomination wrapped up and they have to live with him. This is the worst scenario that could ever play out for the libs and dems.
Chad, the great thing about a democracy like the United States, is that under its constitution, it gaurantees the right of every citizen, the right of free speech. Even today, many people around the world do not enjoy this most basic of human rights.
This site will always encourage people to take advantage of their right to express their views on any subject. i.e. Providing they are neither malevolent or obscene. However please bear in mind that whenever you exercise that right you also need to appreciate that sometimes people will not always agree with your comments.
In relation to the views you have expressed today, I imagine that would represent just about every decent, racially tolerant, humanitarian in the world. That is my own point of view. Australia is also a fine democracy, we’re usually never short of a word about anything.

I heartily disagree with the statement that Barack Obama’s campaign is over. It is absurd to call a man whose mother is white and was raised by his white grandparents anti-white.. Obama is pro human. He believes that the playing field of America should be equal for all. In attending the church for 17 years he was embracing the part of himself that is black, after all he is biracial and was raised by his the white branch of his family.
Believe it or not it is helpful as a human to have some feeling of identity in this world. There are some who would not be able to move past their own fear to recognize that it is healthy for a black person to love black people and support the progress of black people. Why does supporting black people equal being anti white? That is an imperialistic mindset that America must move past. We are not only white citizens in America we are all shades and ethnicities and religions. There is nothing wrong with nurturing and helping your own culture as long as we as Americans have the ability to rally around the common goals and values of our constitution. Minorites do not have to assimilate into a “white world” to be patriotic and American. True patriotism is acknowledging not only the strengths and good deeds of our nation, but the weaknesses and wrong actions as well, and being willing to work towards the improvement of these weaknesses.
Rev Jeremiah Wright served as Marine doing the Viet Nam war. I venture to guess if you like I have would speak to a veteran of that war, white or black, you would not hear a lot of flag waving rhetoric. You would hear real pain and real questions about our Nations actions over seas in many countries. Without true and honest dialogue our country will never reach the realization of the forefathers words. “…..one nation under God indivisible with justice for all..” not just those who assimilate into a standard whiteness as proof of their love for this country.
I can be black and hurt over this countries racist past and still love this country. This has been proven by the millions of black patriots who have died in numerous war and causes throughout this nations history all the while as they served they knew that the America they loved did not love them without reservation, but only with conditions and only in limited capacities. My grandfather was allowed to serve America as a soldier in World War II but he was never allowed to vote because of the local organized terrorist group known as the ku klux klan that waged war against the black americans in the town he lived in.
