US Politics

The Pennsylvania Pronouncement!

His address in Pennsylvania will surely rank among the great political addresses in American history.

Today in Pennsylvania, Democratic Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama stared down the ogre of racism and won. His address in Pennsylvania will surely rank among the great political addresses in American history.

His, were not mere words. They demonstrated his complete understanding of America’s ills. Including the causes and effects of racial, economic, social and civic issues and the country’s ability and capacity to recover as the world’s best example of a fine living democracy. For the entire world, the energy and enterprise of “Only in America” has been locked away for far too long.

The election of a President Obama is the first of many changes Americans must make to help themselves to recover, to build a bright and better future. If a country is the sum of its people, regardless of age, race, colour, ethnicity, creed or religion; then the American people are their country. It is their America! An America which must be ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Today in Pennsylvania, one man placed his arms around his beloved land, and said without need of words and in all humility. “Follow me. This is the way!”

  1. John,

That is a beautiful statement on Barack Obama’s profound speech today.

I sincerely hope that the American people now begin to reawaken to the crises and racial divides that are affecting the U.S., and holding each and everyone of us back.

It is truly time for this unique person of vision, strength and integrity, to lead a desperate nation forward.

We know, that the world is holding their breath collectively, as well.

  2. Thank you John. That was beautiful. Barack Obama is a person that has all of the good in all of us condensed into one imperfect soul. As I listened to his speech, I remembered my old prejudices and fears, and, determined I would face them head on. So much is buried under so many scars. Obamas speech opened scarred over putrefying wounds in America. Now we can clean out all the pus and healing can begin.

  3. John,
    This is Outstanding!
Barack Obama’s speech touched my heart. Too many things go unsaid in the United States, although there is unrest in the under-current. Many of the major media outlets seem to just fan the flames of the things that separate us…but, we are joined together by a bond that cannot be broken. Barack Obama understands that there is only one American and in order to be strong we must stand together as one.
I feel that Barack Obama has awakened me…placed me in square one with a new beginning…and said, it’s time to change and to change for the better…he also says that the time is now. I am open-minded and ready to take action to help him where I am needed to change the path that this country is on right now.
    Yes We Can!
