Though, Barack is our first African-American Elected President, he is also a man of honor and exudes humbleness and sincere character. His obsession with President, Lincoln is amazing and I pray that this personal relationship that he has with Lincoln will continue to inspire his ambitions as President of the United States. I am still filled with chills just thinking about this dream realized. I even find myself talking to Barack and Michelle's pictures on magazine covers...asking them, "did they really know that this day would come?" It truly feels like a dream and I don't want to wake up. Our young are so inspired. Just to hear my 4-year old grand-daughter continuously exclaim that her President's name is "Barack Obama" with so much certainty is priceless. My one regret is that as a Singer-Songwriter, Entertainer and Performer, for lack of contacts, I cannot take part in the festivities. I wanted so much to be a part of the entertainment. But, there'a always 2012. Perhaps, during the next Inauguration I will have the opportunity to perform. Please feel free to check me out on my website. I'll post it under my signature. Never in my wildest dreams before or after the campaign did I imagine this kind of euphoria -- your word, John, and the right one. Obama's calm, steady "can-do, take-charge" demeanor during the transition has conquered all but the most diehard conservatives and nay-sayers. I'm so thankful that he happened in my lifetime.
