‘Going Home’ / ‘Local Hero’ Theme Music

Something really special to relax by, ponder and bring peace to your heart. Mark Knopfler’s magnificent rendition of ‘Going Home” – theme from ‘Local Hero’. A 1983 Scottish film, ‘Local Hero’ starred Peter Riegert, Denis Lawson, Peter Capaldi and Burt Lancaster. It was directed by Bill Forsyth and produced by David Puttnam. The plot revolves around an American oil company representative who is sent to the fictional village of Ferness on the west coast of Scotland to purchase the town and surrounding property for his company.
