The DNC + Obama = the Jackpot

The Democratic Party needs Barack Obama to again become the major political force in America. Apart from the usual considerations uncommitted Super delegates are most likely considering (a) Which person has the best chance of beating John McCain and (b) Who can best serve the interests of the Party and the interests other Democratic candidates due for re – election.  Super delegates will do what needs to be done. Self interest usually prevails. 

All most people want from government is good goverment. With Barack Obama they trust they will get it. With his movement the Democratic Party acquires free of charge a modern political force, proven marketing and financial expertise, and a massive increase in new membership. DNC Chairman Howard Dean and Speaker Nancy Pelosi will no doubt ponder these facts when considering how to deal with the pro – Clinton pressure already being applied by big DNC business donors, avid Clinton supporters and by the Clintons themselves. There is a simple test – What could the Clintons bring by comparison!  Even the famous blind freddy knows the answer to that!

 Lighting the way for America

Since the arrival of Barack Obama many new people are becoming interested and engaged in the political process. In particular the youth of America, and this bodes well for the future. Others sensing a feeling of hope are also prepared to take a second look. Obama’s message is a clarion call for new politics and new ways of thinking. Out with the old – in with the new. It is a call which is beginning to resonate across all previous divides of race, colour, ethnicity, class, religion and gender. If I’ve left anyone out, I apologise. I am sure you are included.

A Real Home

Just imagine a scandal free White House which is home again to a happy family. That sight alone should do wonders for America’s spirits. And the rest of us too.  People are confident and trusting that Barack and his people will conduct America’s affairs and its international responsibilities with the same duty of care, responsibility and management brilliance they have demonstrated throughout their highly innovative and successful campaign. Barack Obama offers America a new approach, a refreshing intelligence and a better way of thinking. Clearly this would continue in the Oval office. This is what change always meant. The status quo never really got it!
