A Vice President Clinton?

PS. I thought it would be interesting to mention just one of the names who might be considered as a running mate for Senator Obama. Her name is.. Kathleen Sebelius ..

Current Governor of Kansas
Former Chairman of the Democratic Party National Governor’s Association
Current Chair Emeritus Democratic Governor’s Association
The Democratic Party’s respondent to the President’s 2008 State of the Union Address
Endorsement for Barack Obama following State of Union Address
Active Campaigner for Barack

These are two email comments supporting Gov Sebelius as a possible running mate. I saw them online from JP of the “Texas for Obama” group on 8th May US time..

Quote 1:”By the way, does anyone else see the logic in the following: If Obama loses any demographic for sure, it’s the racist backwoods white male vote. I should know, I’m the son of one.  So it makes no sense for Obama to pick a white male for his veep.  Instead, Obama needs women voters–women are 55% of voters, I think, and he can win them, because he likes strong women–his mother was one, his wife certainly is one–and his policies and approaches reflect what many women consider to be feminine wisdom.

So, I say Sebelius: Governor, and voters love Governors for White House runs; female; more moderate, I think; works with Republican-dominated legislature in her home state; older than Obama; very non-corrupt (!) record; seems to represent the new politics well. What say you all?” End of quote.

After being asked for more information this was JP’s reply.

Quote 2.

” I live in Kansas, and I know that Sebelius has spent 22 years in elected office as a Democrat among Republicans without ever succumbing to scandal.  I have never even heard mention of a single scandal, and again, if there was any such thing, the Republicans would mention it. She has pushed through some very divisive stances, including a rejection of more coal -fired electrical plants in Kansas, and a rejection of a concealed-carry bill (we’re now like one of four hold-out states that don’t have such a law).

Somehow, Sebelius has managed to frustrate more than one large goal of a horde of natural political enemies without creating any perceptible animus toward herself.  There’s only one way I know to accomplish that–you practice the new politics, avoid any hint of corruption, build bridges, make friends, be polite and respectful, hold your ground in a predictable manner (stick to your word), seem sensible and rational in making such
stands. ” End of quote.

  6. All right, okay, I admit it—I don’t know. At this present moment in time, I don’t know whom to suggest as the person that would be the best possible running mate for Candidate Barack Obama. But now that I have come clean about what I don’t know, let me tell you what I do know: It ain’t Hillary Rodham Clinton.
