A Touch of Class

From the starting gun, the gentleman from Delaware, unflinchingly absorbed Sarah Palin’s verbal swipes, her untruths, her brashness, her habit of winking at the audience, her having a dig at Gwen Ifill, and her reading lines throughout the entire ninety minutes. To his credit Senator Biden was measured, appeared at ease, showed polite forbearance, good humour and an appreciation that all his opponent really had, was mostly repetitious hot air, a lot of cheek, and memorised lines.

The People have Spoken

Hillary and Bill Clinton need to appreciate that their game of bully boy and bluff is up. It was a good try, but the time to choose the Party nominee has run out. As has any excuses for the Superdelegates to further delay announcing their judgement. Hillary Clinton’s nomination goose is cooked – whether she accepts it or not, is her problem – Senator Obama has much bigger fish to fry and in everybody’s interests he needs to be allowed to get on with the job.

Clinton’s Messenger Boy!

This appears to be a blatant attempt to interfere in a process which can influence and determine the Democratic Party’s nomination. It represents a direct challenge to Nancy Pelosi herself, who as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Party’s most senior Democrat, is only two heartbeats from the Presidency. As Speaker she is the holder of the third highest office in the country. How dangerous are these Clinton friends, donors and supporters? This is precisely the sort of thing Barack Obama wants to end in American politics. The vested interests have a lot to lose if Clinton fails. Once Clinton is no more – they are no more!

Keeping the Eyes on the Prize!

Nothing else should occupy our time, resources or energy. Enjoy the wins along the way
by all means, but they in themselves gaurantee nothing but disappointment if they do
not deliver the prize we seek. First the Nomination, then the Presidency! Yes we can!
