The Race for America’s Future Has Begun.

For Democrats the mission is clear. Control of both Congressional chambers is paramount for 2014. The importance of this cannot be exaggerated. Having raised the bar, with more to achieve, the President’s legacy already guarantees a sound foundation upon which his successor could constructively build.

“The King’s Speech” More than just a Movie

It had been nearly 20 years since I last had to zigzag through rows of people seated in the darkened confines of a movie theatre. That was prior to my discovering a fascinating snippet of the real life story upon which the movie,”The King’s Speech” was based.

Mr Rudd Or Mr Oakes “Cui bono?”

One thing most Australians wouldn’t be aware of, is the close relationship that Journalist Laurie Oakes enjoys with Kevin Rudd and his family. Reportedly it began with Rudd’s early days as a University student when he earned money by cleaning Oakes’ residence in Brisbane. After becoming Prime Minister it was Mr Rudd’s wife, Therese Rein, who volunteered to launch Oakes’ book “Power Plays” on Australian Politics in November 2008.

Afghanistan: When will they ever Learn?

Meanwhile nine years on, Australian troops in constant danger, remain trapped in the corrupt and hellish environment that is Afghanistan, and for what? Both the Government and the Opposition need to tell the Americans that they are wrong about Afghanistan. A good sensible ally would – and should.

A tragedy caused by the inexpert activities and cavalier attitudes employed by multinational companies involved in mining deep sea oil in the Gulf.

The Democrat’s Blumenthal Blunder

At least the exposure of this imposter will end his masquerading days of posing as a Vietnam veteran. However the people of Connecticut who would have preferred another Democratic candidate can at least take heart.

Palin: The Never Again Politician

In her new shoot from the hip role in the media and by commenting via her ghostwritten website, she has been carefully positioned to avoid intelligent debate. However she is no fool. Knowing her own limitations, when the time comes, there is absolutely no chance she will risk her newly discovered financial windfall and bonanza, by attempting to run in 2012.

An Alliance of Corruption

With the near total deregulation of the American financial system came new and often corrupt alliances along with a myriad of dodgy, complicated, corporate financial products and practices. This was the business of finance, American style, by the year 2000. Many of the shady deals and flawed enterprises which resulted, were the product of a deregulated embryo of this disaster, emerging as it has, to become the first international financial virus of the 21st century.
