The Philadelphia Primary

I have just returned home to Massachusetts from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania after spending the week campaigning for Senator Obama. It was a 350 mile trip and we worked a full day 9 am to 9 pm phone banking and going door to door visiting all who were registered as Democrats in the area.

I managed to go to the Rally in Scranton and for the first time had the pleasure of seeing Senator Obama in person. I’m sure many of you have seen him on TV or on the net in videos speaking. I can honestly say none of that does justice to the honesty and integrity of this man and the inspiration you get from seeing him in person.

The rally had about 2000 folks attending and it felt like 200,000 with the energy of everyone cheering and just enjoying his very natural and down to earth manner. I’m happy to join this venue and will report what I can as events unfold in the remaining Primaries.
