Dear Editor,

On behalf of the disabled community, we would like to say thank you to Senator Obama for agreeing to sign the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities (CRPD).

This is a treaty drawn up by the disabled and the United Nations. It has been rejected by President Bush. CRPD is a tougher version of the ADA. It is a tool that will ban discrimination against the disabled.
