Rep. Miller to meet with his wife’s favorite candidate

Democratic Rep. Brad Miller is still undecided in the presidential race, but his wife has thrown her support behind Barack Obama _ literally.

His wife, Esther Hall, sat directly behind Obama during his victory speech in Raleigh after he won the North Carolina primary Tuesday night.

Cameras caught Hall smiling and holding a sign for Obama, and her face was splashed across television screens and the front page of the couple’s hometown newspaper, The News & Observer of Raleigh. Miller was in Washington, still undecided.

Miller is an uncommitted superdelegate and has long been courted by both Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton. Office spokeswoman Luanne Canipe said Miller has no immediate plans to endorse but will meet with Obama on Thursday. Fayetteville article

  1. I hadn’t heard about this! Thanks for posting that, John.

It will be interesting to see if Miller, after meeting with Obama, will sign on. I think he will be one more of many to come, over the next week and beyond, until this thing is finally a wrap.
