How Romney became obscenely Rich: Robert Reich

Telling Thoughts

My Comment

This excellent demonstration outlines the basic tax avoidance strategy and heartless takeover tactics employed by financial speculators like Mitt Romney in building their great personal fortunes at the expense of victim company employees and the average American taxpayer.

This is precisely why a financial legal expert like Elizabeth Warren is needed in the US Senate to drive and explain the new Obama tax proposal ‘ The Buffet Rule’, and to close the great loopholes in company tax law, so easily exploited by carpetbaggers like Romney and his ilk.

  1. They could not do it with out the help of their paid players, the politicians: tax loopholes, nooses for taxpayers, free market bail outs if things blow up for them. Carve-out for Corporations , cave-ins for the workers. Life has never been more secure for the crooks and the corrupt leaders thanks to the politics of the courts too.

  2. There is a major error in how he describes unemployment benefits. Businesses pay into an unemployment fund, and the rate they pay (as a percent of their payroll) varies depending on their industry and on their own record of former workers filing unemployment claims. It’s an insurance program, paid for by employers.

  3. A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?
