The last of Australia’s combat troops arrived home in Brisbane, Queensland today to complete the total withdrawl of this country’s remaining combat troops in Iraq.
Australia’s future military presence in Iraq will be comprised of approximately 1000 men and women to provide services for Australia’s Embassy security, plus Air Traffic control operations and training for the forseeable future.
Australia’s forces will continue operations in Afghanistan.
